Honoring a Legacy: Recreating a Cherished Sign

When a cherished piece holds sentimental value, it becomes more than just an object. For one customer, a handmade sign created by her late husband was a treasured memory. I was honored to be entrusted with the task of recreating this special piece, capturing its essence while giving it new life.

Original Sign

By meticulously studying the original sign, I digitally recreated its design, capturing its unique character and craftsmanship. To add depth and texture, I printed the artwork onto a wood background, replicating the look and feel of the original. While I was not able to replicate the intricate mountain cutouts due to equipment limitations, the final piece still captured the heart and soul of the original.
